Applanix Senior Executives Visit Airborne Remote Sensing Center and Meshdynamics (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd., Jointly Exploring Localization in China and Cutting-Edge Applications of Inertial Navigation Technology

On May 8, 2025, a delegation including Eric Liberty, Global Sales President of Trimble Applanix, Alan, APAC Business Development Manager, and Michelle, Regional Sales Manager, visited China Geological Survey Airborne Geophysical and Remote Sensing Center and Meshdynamics (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. successively. They conducted in-depth exchanges on the frontier development of inertial navigation technology, local adaptation for the Chinese market, and innovative applications of RTX wide-area solution technology in aerial remote sensing and surveying.
Visit to AGRS

AGRS(China Geological Survey Airborne Geophysical and Remote Sensing Center) is one of Applanix's most important long-term partners in China. It has widely applied Applanix's inertial navigation systems in various airborne remote sensing payload equipment such as optical, laser, bathymetric laser, and hyperspectral devices, accumulating extensive operational experience.
During the visit, Eric Liberty provided a systematic overview of Applanix's latest technological achievements and business models. Meanwhile, several senior engineers from the Airborne Geophysical and Remote Sensing Center offered systematic feedback to the Applanix team regarding issues encountered in the practical application of the equipment. This will exert a positive impetus on the future improvement of product functions and technological evolution.
Visit to Meshdynamics (Beijing)

On the same afternoon, the Applanix team visited Meshdynamics (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd.,. Both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on the application trends of inertial navigation technology in airborne remote sensing, advantages of RTX solutions in image control-free/base station-free surveying and mapping, and localized integration in the Chinese market.
Wang Yanning, General Manager of Meshdynamics (Beijing), introduced the company's four major business segments: aerial remote sensing engineering services, remote sensing hardware integration and sales, spatial information software R&D and sales, and digital human platform. He highlighted typical cases including the Hong Kong Project, Zhangjiajie Project, 3D reconstruction of Xuankong Temple, factory digital twin platform, and 3D reconstruction of historical film reimaging. These aroused strong interest from the Applanix team, and Jiantu Xiangyun was invited to attend next year's Trimble Global User Conference.
